Creating A Concealed Kitchen with Häfele Products

The concealed or hidden kitchen trend continues to grow in popularity amongst UK homeowners. Essential kitchen components can be easily hidden away to maintain a sleek, minimalist aesthetic without compromising on functionality.

One such example is the famous steam-bent wooden house built by Tom and Danie Raffield, showcased on Grand Designs, Channel 4. Their hidden kitchen was fitted by our studio partner Kettle Co. Kitchens. Concealed behind the Hawa Concepta 25, supplied by Häfele, the kitchen perfectly suited their requirements of creating a sleek and nature-inspired kitchen. This project was made possible by carefully selecting space-optimised and functional products.

At Häfele, we supply a range of products which would enable you to create this popular trend for different types of projects.

Products:

Hawa Concepta 25

The Hawa Concepta 25 is the perfect solution for concealing kitchen worktops, drawers and appliances. A unique folding and pivot sliding system for bi-folding pocket doors, the flush cabinet fronts open end-to-end and can be completely pushed into the sides, allowing all concealed elements to be fully accessed once the doors are opened.

Tambour doors

Tambour doors are a stylish way of disguising kitchen cupboards and shelves. The use of roller doors in place of swing doors creates a surprising amount of additional space and introduces a more organised and sophisticated look. At Häfele, our range of tambour doors come in a variety of finishes, including satin, anthracite, copper and mill gold, so you are guaranteed to find a style to fit in with your desired look.

Worktop waste bin

Subtle and convenient, Hafele’s Worktop Waste Bins provide an elegant solution to the problem of concealing waste. The bins are designed to be mounted under worktops, freeing up floor-space and keeping the kitchen uncluttered.

Accuride 0115RC Sliding Track System

The Accuride 0115RC Sliding Track System can be used for a wide range of applications, from transforming a kitchen worktop into a breakfast bar, to concealing a hot plate under worktops. It features a ball-bearing mounted carriage and is perfect for sliding objects including worktops, display walls and base units.

Smeg In-Column Larder Fridge

Designed to be built into existing cabinetry, the Larder Fridges from Smeg are an ideal fit for the concealed kitchen trend. Be in under worktops or in column, Smeg Larder fridges are truly versatile kitchen classics.
