VANDERSANDEN EXPANDS BRICK RANGE WITH VERSATILE NEW PRODUCTS

Innovative brick design and manufacturing techniques are continuing to transform the creative building design possibilities available to architects. Brick manufacturer, Vandersanden, is at the forefront of this drive and has unveiled a series of innovations, including the expansion of its Coated Brick range alongside new brick colours and textures.

COATED BRICKS

Vandersanden’s automated coating formulation makes facing bricks water-repellent and resistant to the effects of air pollution and efflorescence, ensuring façades remain beautiful and untarnished throughout their lifetime. This innovative and environmentally sustainable process which also makes it easier to clean the brick, if dirt or damage does occur, has now been fully rolled out across the entire Vandersanden hand-formed brick range available to UK specifiers.

NEW RANGES: IMPERIA, OREA, BIVIO

Imperia is a facing brick with a base brown colour augmented by shades of white, anthracite and beige to create an attractive facade aesthetic. This hand-formed brick features a creased, sanded finish to give the brick a natural look and earthy, organic texture.

Orea has been added to Vandersanden’s extensive hand formed range and is a subtle mixture of red and orange with shades of black, offering a range of creative possibilities either for restoration or new build projects. It is a facing brick with a sanded-coated and grained structure to give an authentic, natural look.

Bivio is a new multi-grey, facing brick with shades of white, featuring contrasting darker grey tones for a contemporary finish.

COOl GREYS: QUARTIS AND REGA

Grey brickwork is a favourite choice for architects, seeking to create a distinctively classic design that can also feel effortlessly cool and contemporary. In addition to new Bivio, Vandersanden offers an extensive range of grey bricks to bring more innovative, high quality options.

Quartis and Rega from Vandersanden are both manufactured from 100% natural resources with a base material of Westerwald clay, a natural, white clay from Germany.

In these bricks, the stock texture features a sanded-coated and grained structure, which, in Quartis, is layered with specific sand types to create a single coloured grey to light grey shade. In Rega, it generates a multi-grey effect with several tones of grey in the one brick.

RETURN OF ROXTON RED

For their warmth, character and traditional textured finish, red bricks remain a material of choice for many building designs.

Architects can now take advantage of these capabilities, and more, with the return of Vandersanden’s popular Roxton Red to the company’s high-quality range of classic red bricks. Even better, they are now coated to avoid efflorescence now and, in the future, with this performance guaranteed for 25 years.

Roxton Red is a facing brick, made from 100% natural materials, that offers an attractive, orangey-red, multi-coloured aesthetic for an authentic, timeless look. Available as a hand-formed brick with a soft creased texture, Roxton Red is manufactured using advanced, low energy production techniques but with a substantial debt to its past heritage.

“Our new brick ranges offer versatile, attractive and sustainable solutions for architects and specifiers looking for the right bricks for their project. Vandersanden bricks ensure not only technical performance but also an authentic character-filled presence to meet the architect’s design vision. We are also delighted to be bringing back the Roxton Red in 2021 to meet popular demand from our customers.”
