The new ultra-slim Vertical Sliding Sash meeting rail from Epwin Window Systems has been designed to further enhance the credentials of our popular PVC-U Vertical Sliding Sash Window System and open up additional market opportunities for our customers.

Sliding sash windows have been the hallmark of British homes for centuries and evoke the elegant period aesthetics that other windows simply cannot match. Over time, windows have played a vital role in defining the character of period or historical properties especially in Georgian, or Victorian homes and the new ultra-slim meeting rail takes the heritage aesthetics of the classic sash window to the next level.

At just 37mm, the new ultra-slim meeting rail faithfully replicates the appearance of traditional sash windows and is the perfect option for projects within conservation areas, listed buildings and period properties.

Our Vertical Sliding Sash Window System has always been a popular choice and has all the features of a traditional box sash timber window and so much more. This includes a choice of welded or mechanical joint options, run-through horns, deep bottom rail and dedicated ancillaries and end caps to further personalise the window. Reliable spiral balance mechanisms mean the window is easy to open and close and the intelligent system design offers exceptional thermal efficiency too.

It’s a practical option for installers – the 128mm outer frame matches box sash dimensions and there’s the option of a 150mm or 210mm cill. It’s Kitemarked to BS EN 12608 and PAS 24 accredited and is designed to achieve Secured by Design status so is Document Q compliant.

The system is also available in a choice of colours that take the aesthetics of heritage frames to the next level with a range of carefully considered shades including Cream, Pebble, and Slate Grey Finesse.
