Keylex 700 Now Accepts All DIN Cylinder Lockcases

The new Keylex K700L mechanical digital lock will now accommodate all conventional DIN style cylinder lockcase heights. Older versions could accommodate most cylinder locks but occasionally the mounting pin, which connects the back plate of the lock to the keypad, would hit the lock case that was mortised into the door. The new, revised design incorporates a removable mounting pillar to make the Keylex 700L truly universal.

The Keylex 700 series is ideal for all standard duty, high security door installations and on any door where a flexible Euro profile key system is required. The narrow stile design will suit all stile widths down to 45mm and is particularly suited for use on aluminium and hollow metal door sections.

The lock body is made from cast zinc and the internal mechanism is solid brass and it is suitable for use on external perimeter doors and all internal doors. It is available in a choice of silver or dark bronze finishes with both options having stainless steel buttons.

The slipping clutch mechanism nullifies forced attack or vandalism from the outside and the brushed stainless steel buttons do not exhibit different levels of wear and so do not betray the regularly used numbers from the 4000+ selectable code permutations. Code combinations of up to 12 buttons can be set if required although 3 to 6 digits are recommended. The Passage function allows free passage from either or both sides at the code users' discretion and the euro profile cylinder (not included with the Keylex lock), allows key override when necessary or preferred.

Because the Keylex 700 is entirely mechanical in operation, no electronics or electrical wiring is needed and there are no batteries to be replaced. This makes installation very quick and straightforward, even in remote locations, and ensures the operation of the lock is reliable and dependable in all circumstances.

The standard model suits doors between 30mm and 62mm thick but thicker doors can be accommodated to special order.
