Glassrail and Sentinel balustrade systems

The systems available from SG System Products Limited are tailored to meet the requirements of the client. This approach helps to keep costs and lead times down yet delivers a quality product. Other products from the company are Illumine LED handrails, Stargard the original “warm to the touch” handrail and Citadel brass balustrade.

Glassrail:

A structural glass balustrade system without balusters, which offers an unencumbered view and is suitable for both interior and exterior applications for public, private and commercial buildings.

Ideal for staircases, atriums and balconies.

Handrail: a range of handrail systems can be fitted to the top or side of the glass panels.

Brass, stainless steel, aluminium, LED handrails or “warm to the touch” handrails are all available and by fitting the “warm to the touch” handrail (to the side of the glass) the balustrade can comply with the DDA requirements.

Glass panels: Can be clear or “frosted”, toughened or toughened laminated, flat panels or curved panels.

Base clamping: Various designs are available to clamp the glass securely to the side or top of the structure.

Structural glass balustrade requires thicker glass than glass infill panels used in traditional balustrade designs.

Sentinel:

A tubular stainless steel balustrade and handrail system, with a range of infill panel designs, suitable for both interior and exterior applications in offices, schools and public buildings.

Ideal for staircases, atriums and balconies.

Handrail: Normally stainless steel in grade 304 for interiors or 316 for exteriors, but timber or “warm to the touch” are also available.

Infill Panels: Glass, perforated sheet, mesh or “running rails” give a range of design possibilities which enable budgets to be met.

Baluster fixing: to the side or top of the structure.

Sentinel with glass infill panels uses a thinner glass than structural glass balustrade, resulting in a lower comparative cost.
