Canopies and Shade Sails to complement every kind of project

No matter what the project, A&S Landscape can design and install the perfect canopy.

Bespoke canopy structures, using fabric or polycarbonate roofing, configured to complement any space, in any location for any building. We have transformed outdoor areas for schools, hospitals, care homes, councils, sports clubs, residential projects, commercial projects and more.

Motiva - Steel and Polycarbonate canopies -

Linear (straight roof)

Mono, Duo (curved roof)

Clear, opal or coloured polycarbonate roofing

Steel and polycarbonate canopies can create covered walkways, outdoor dining canopies, covered seating areas, entrance canopies and more. Roofing can be symmetrical or asymmetrical, mono or duo pitch. These canopies can also be created to cover large multi-use games areas. Creating year-round spaces without the need for permanent structures can be the perfect option for some projects.

Coloured polycarbonate roofing adds a lovely design feature to the Motiva Linear canopies. The light floods the ground below creating a magical space. Children and schools create unique outdoor areas using this roofing option.

Maxima - Fabric canopies –

Shade cloth sails

Waterproof PVC sails

Fabric canopies can be manufactured using two different types of fabric. The shade cloth protects from UV rays and the PVC fabric is waterproof in addition.

These fabric canopies are available in a number of different designs; Umbrella, StarSail, ShadeSail and Tepee. The options for sizing and configuration make this a very versatile solution. Some projects require minimal posts, so the Umbrella or StarSail would work best. Others require larger spans, where multiple sails can create large covered areas.

Outdoor Dining Canopy - Gilberd School

The Gilberd School in Colchester wanted to create an outdoor dining space for students. The steel and polycarbonate canopy chosen was from our Motiva Duo range. It measured 24m x 15m and was specified with red polycarbonate panels at one end. These panels tied in to existing red features on the adjacent building. The overall aesthetic was very modern with clean lines.

Motiva Mono – tiered seating at Netherwood Academy

Netherwood Academy opted for a monopitch canopy installed with Cobalt Blue (RAL 5013) steelwork and an Opal roof and measured 16m x 6m. With aluminium gutters and downpipes all the rainwater from the large roof area will be effectively managed.

Coloured polycarbonate roofing -
Al-Furqan Primary School

The Motiva Linear canopy at Al-Furqan Primary School in Birmingham is made from steel and polycarbonate and measures 14m x 3m. The canopy runs alongside a classroom to create an extension. In bright Red (RAL 3020) steelwork with a rainbow coloured polycarbonate roof, it creates a bright, fun space which has delighted the children and teachers alike. Glazed panels have been added to the sides of the canopy to make it secure and to add protection from the elements. Electrically operated roller shutter doors have been installed to the front elevation.

StarSails - Aldersley High School

Aldersley High School have created a new space from a previously unloved area. Four Maxima StarSails created a modern design feature as well as providing the shade and shelter that Aldersley High School wanted in their quad area. The bright fabric colours look amazing in Boulder, Poppy, Concrete and Raspberry.

Shade Sails - Shipley College
Shipley College wanted their covered area to be waterproof, they therefore chose waterproof PVC fabric and designed their shade sails with Slate Grey (RAL 7015) steel posts, and fabric in Vanilla. The Maxima range has a number of different fabric canopies, ShadeSails are available in triangle or square fabric, overlapping or single layer. Different colours, shade cloth or PVC, so the choices really are endless.
